On 01.09.2021, 12 members of the Rotary Club Tholey-Bostalsee visited the workshops of the UpZent partner company AQA gGmbH in Neunkirchen as part of a networking meeting. The Rotary Club Tholey-Bostalsee was founded in 2018 and has been supporting regional social and environmental projects ever since.
The aim of the networking meeting was, on the one hand, to present the project “UpZent – A participatory business model for raising awareness and implementing a resource-efficient circular economy” to the participants and, on the other hand, to enable an exchange about joint activities and future cooperation. In particular, the UpZent approaches to social inclusion in the production of upcycling products and the use of residual materials as a contribution to environmental protection and resource conservation met with great interest among the participants. In addition, the participants were able to visit the wood and sewing workshops and see a variety of upcycling products.
