This year’sthis year’s International Circular Economy Week, initiated and organised by the Institute for Applied Material Flow Management (IfaS), took place from 25 to 29 October and offered a wide range of practical solutions to the pressing issues of our time. The International Circular Economy Conference on 26 October was the highlight of the week. The conference welcomed more than 200 participants from 40 countries. High-ranking visitors included the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Congo, theDeputy Chairman of the Energy and Infrastructure Commission of the Democratic Republic of Congo and another fourmayors from Africa . During the week of events, the participants were shown the practical application of circular economy by means of technical excursions. The 1st International Upcycling Network Conference was also held on Thursday. The International Circular Economy Week concluded with the signing of a declaration of cooperation to establish a multinational African network to promote the circular economy. The International Circular Economy Week is supported by the Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy and Mobility Rhineland-Palatinate, Ecoliance Rhineland-Palatinate e.V. and the INTERREG project GREATER GREEN.
