Apart from project planning and realization, IfaS aims to provide access to knowledge with regard to a sustainable design of material systems at the national and international level. Therefore, IfaS offers an education portfolio in the field of International Material Flow Management (MFM) that expands continually.
With the seminary “Travelling University” practice oriented studies were included in the diploma study courses of Environmental Campus Birkenfeld (ECB) in 1999.
In 2004, the English language Master Program „International Material Flow Management“ (MSc.) started at ECB. With the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the education project was exported to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan as well as to Akdeniz University, Turkey. Since 2006/ 2010 more than 90 students from more than 30 countries are studying the two Dual Master Degree Programs.
The rising request for international material flow managers is the reason for building up two new Dual Master Degree Programs IMAT with Universidade Positivo in Brazil and Al Akhawayn University in Morocco which will start in winter semester 2013.
